It happens to every book lover sooner or later, all those books you've collected over the years threaten to topple the bookcases. Perhaps you are downsizing, or your children have outgrown certain books, or maybe you just want to make room for new books. Whatever the case, the Friends of the Library will be glad to accept your donations.
The Friends of the Library welcomes donations of gently used books that we can resell in the FOL Bookstore. The store - which raises funds to support the Westminster Library - sells fiction, non-fiction, hardbacks, paperbacks, children's books, cookbooks, self-help books, science fiction, history, travel, and more. We also carry a selection of videos, CD's DVD's, and audio books. Please consider the Friends of the Library if you have items like these to donate.
There are a few items we cannot accept:
Thank you for understanding.
The Friends of the Library accepts boxes and bags of donations- even single items - during bookstore hours (listed top right). If you have an exceptionally large donation (10 or more containers), please call us ahead of time at 714-898-4245.
The Friends of the Library is a 501c(3) tax-exempt organization so every donor is entitled to claim a tax deduction for usable donations. We will provide a receipt upon request.
The Friends of the Library keeps a piggybank to support childrens programming. If spare change is weighing down your purse or pocket, we'd be delighted to take it off your hands!
We accept donations on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 10AM to 4PM.
If you would like to make a donation to benefit the Westminster Public Library in honor or memory of a loved one, please contact our bookstore manager at the bookstore.
